Empowering Families Experiencing Homelessness in Green Bay
At Freedom House, families in Green Bay find more than shelter—they gain hope, support, and tools for long-term success and stability.

Providing Shelter and Support for Families in Need
Freedom House Ministries is dedicated to empowering families experiencing homelessness in Green Bay so they achieve sustainable independence. Since our founding, we have provided emergency shelter and comprehensive support services to families with dependent children who have nowhere else to turn.
Offering More Than a Safe Place
Our 16-room shelter facility operates 24/7, offering more than just a safe place to stay. We recognize that homelessness often stems from complex challenges, which is why we provide individualized support through our professional case managers, known as Success Coaches. These dedicated staff members work 1-on-1 with families to create tailored service plans, helping them overcome barriers and build pathways to stability.

Meeting Immediate Needs and Building Long-Term Success
At Freedom House, we believe in addressing both immediate needs and long-term success. Families receive:
- Three meals daily
- Access to clothing, hygiene products and transportation assistance
Beyond these essential services, we offer a robust educational program including:
- Financial literacy workshops
- Workforce development coaching
- Housing navigation assistance and education
Of the many goals for parents, securing and maintaining employment that provides a living wage is a top priority. As parents are employed, our partnerships with local schools ensure children maintain educational continuity.

Comprehensive Support Through Community Partnerships
We understand the journey out of homelessness requires comprehensive support. Through partnerships with organizations like N.E.W. Community Clinic, we provide access to:
- Medical services
- Dental care
- Mental health resources
Families at Freedom House also participate in life skills sessions, parenting programs, and recovery groups, all designed to build a strong foundation for independent living.

Compassionate Care and Practical Support
The average stay at Freedom House is 115 days, during which families work diligently toward their goals of stability and independence. Our approach combines compassionate care with practical support, creating an environment where families can heal, grow, and build the skills needed for sustainable independence.
Through the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and community partners, Freedom House continues to be a valuable resource for families working to overcome homelessness in our community.
Disrupting the Cycle of Homelessness
We are committed to transforming the lives of families experiencing homelessness in our community. Your generous support enables us to offer hope, stability and a path to independence for parents and children in crisis.
