Choosing Light Over Darkness
Dear Friends,
In a world that often feels heavy with darkness, we are called to be light.
At Freedom House Ministries, this calling is not theoretical—it is lived out every day through presence, compassion, and hope. We believe that choosing life and light is an intentional act, one rooted in trust that God’s goodness is greater than any shadow we may face.
“I will sing of the goodness of God.” This is more than a declaration—it is a response. When we pause long enough to truly recognize His generosity, we cannot help but be overwhelmed by it. God’s love, provision, and grace are abundant, never scarce.
A scarcity mindset takes hold when our understanding of God’s generosity is incomplete. When fear replaces trust, we begin to hold tightly to our time, talents, and resources. But Scripture calls us back to a deeper truth: “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19).
When we understand this love—freely given and endlessly generous—we are freed to give ourselves fully. We become present, open-handed, and joyful in sharing what has been entrusted to us. Our giving is no longer driven by fear of not having enough, but by confidence in the One who provides.
This spirit of generosity is what brings our community together during Give Big Green Bay, taking place February 25–26. For 24 hours, our community will unite to support the work of 50 local non-profits, each committed to bringing hope and healing to our neighbors. We are honored that Freedom House is one of those organizations.
Give Big Green Bay is more than a fundraising event—it is a collective choice to shine light and to invest in the good God is doing right here in our community. Your participation reflects love first given to us by God, and a powerful reminder that generosity multiplies hope.
Thank you for walking alongside Freedom House. Thank you for choosing light over darkness and love over fear. Together, may we continue to sing of the goodness of God and reflect His generosity to a world in need.
With gratitude and hope,
