Do I have to complete a background check to volunteer?

Yes, a background check for all volunteers is needed prior to their first date of volunteerism.

Are there age restrictions for volunteers?

Yes, any individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (parent/guardian, teacher, group leader, etc.)

Are there family-friendly opportunities?

Yes, A great opportunity for families to be involved could be to host a donation drive and collect items from our monthly Wish List. Your family could also encourage your peers to raise funds through lemonade stands, bake sales and other ideas. You could also serve a meal (lunch or dinner at Freedom House) or host an activity/special event as a family.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

We appreciate at least two days’ advanced notice; however, we understand that is not always possible. You may email volunteer@freedomhouseministries.org or call and talk Director of Engagement, Jenna Robbins, who can assist. If you need to alter your schedule within 24 hours of your volunteer time, we ask that you call the front desk (920-432-4646) and notify staff or your schedule change.

Where is Freedom House located?

Freedom House is located at 2997 St. Anthony Dr on the eastside of Green Bay. Our parking lot is off of Curry Ln as you are approaching the shelter. Additional parking is available on St. Anthony Dr. on the backside of the shelter.
